Greg Maynard
Greg Maynard loved to fight and box as a kid. Maynard started boxing when he was 17 and won the Portsmouth GG tourney in 1999 and the East KY GG tourney also in 1999.
Greg hoped that a full contact sport would come to his region and when MMA arrived he was on board. Maynard quickly adjusted to MMA as he went 8-2 as an amateur which prepared him for the professional ranks. Since that time Maynard has proven to be a force in the heavyweight ranks.
Greg is from a coal mining town where working in the mines is the only real means of survival. He was fortunate to get a job with a Budweiser Distributor but does not want to do that for the rest of his life.
